Aura effects for player tokens such as Paladin’s 5E Aura of Protection. When a token moves into the aura’s area of effect, bonuses or penalties are automatically applied to that character, then removed when they move out of range.
It would be cool if at least you can "set an aura" for a token, indepently of the automation, if I have the possibility of drawing a circle (or sqare) of 15ft, for example, I can manually apply the modifier. I believe it's way easier
Totally agree with this. The idea as written would be absolutely amazing, but a starting point of just being able to tie spheres to tokens would also be valuable
A free extension also exist for several rulesets, see this post:
https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?68035-Aura-Effects-for-Pathfinder-3-5E
This extension does everything I want fantasy grounds to do with regards to auras.
It would also be useful if the aura effect areas could be any shape/size (i.e. drawn onto map), so that rooms/map areas could have effects tied to them. This could be used for 5E spells like Hallow, or for setting a "dim light" effect on an area to automatically impose disadvantage on ability checks, etc.
The aura extension is a little buggy, but I still like it. I have already programmed dozens of auras and added them to creatures as well. i hope that they will still work.
I use this extension in my game and every update I worry that it is going to stop working because of some silly change to the core product. Would love for it to finds its way into the core rules to ensure functionality across product updates. Very helpful extension, when core updates don't break it.
Yes. It's hard to play without all the extensions (including AURA's), but the performance hits, even on a pretty high-end machine are just brutal... Choosing between unplayable for lack of automation or lack of speedy performance is frustrating...
